I like a good mystery. Silverhawk, that poured bar is manufactured by a company called Prospector's Gold and Gems out of Fort Collins, Colorado. Google same and you get their website.

Royal Silver on the scale you have, what I think is a stack of 2011 $20 for $20 commemorative coins. Please tell me that is so. I finally got my first one off of the Bay. May I say that you Canucks know how to design and mint your bullion.

yep, its a stack of some of my $20 for $20s

Thanks for the compliment, our mint does indeed know how to make some good looking coins

which coin did you get? the top of the stack is the first of the series, the maple leaf. I really like the polar bear and canoe, have both as well

Royal,
The one I got off of ebay was the initial first offering of the $20 for $20 "The Maple Leaf". I have ordered the polar bears from your mint. Got those delivered to Minnesota for $60 plus I got a code online for free shipping. Can't beat that. And did a trade for my Indian/boy canoe for a cost of two 90% Kennedy halves, which at the time was a price of $20.96. Have you heard anything about a new offering of a $20 for $20 commemorating the queens silver jubilee for ascending to the throne? I have checked the Royal Canadian Mint website and can't find any news about it. Please info. me her or pm me.

Welcome to the site Royalsilver, nice haul by the way on the new additions....

Great info Rasta, at least it is from a reputable company, even if it was or is smaller then some of the bigger companies that once poured these old guys....

That mid western section of the country has had its share of silver mining an minting companies over the last several decades it seems....

Yea, Silverhawk. Like Traevin mentioned they do command a better than average premium. IMHO, there pretty good stacking material.
Rest in Peace

They list 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 oz, but don't show a price for 4. By the others, $160 or a bit less.

That is dead on its sale value as usual for the 4 oz. version BF, maybe as low as 150 if you are lucky....

And also technically BF after scoping across that great info you provided there, they don't appear to be the old late 70's or early 80's version. They just have a smart concept to melt down scrap an turn it into these and gold as well, as they are popular stacker as mentioned by T an Rasta.....

Clearly states they started 13 years back in 1999, as I had assumed it was a company long since gone from the late 70's or early 80's.....

I picked these last year at huge show we have here in the STL in July. The actual company that makes them had a table with a wide selection of coins they and these.

If you ever want to trade for these you know what auction of yours I am eye balling. LOL

I'm so jealous. There are only 2 shows in my town every year. And every dealer in the show asks for at least 10% of premium on both bullion and junk silver.

Nice pictures! I like to be able to hold the actual silver in my hands. :)

You would love the JM bars. The ten are in a sheet and all serial numbers are sequentially numbered. I heard they come in sheets of 20 but my little sheet looks cool. Probably not the best when it comes to storage but def worth it to have a few.

Sounds GREAT, TBK. Those look like something that would really fit well in my collection. They should store OK. Got a 1/2 empty shelf in my safe that should hold those quite nicely.

  • 2 oz = $80 from the issuer
  • They have gold lumps you couldn't stack with superglue
  • Their gold fractions are designed by David Carr
