After reading everyone's helpful hints, I am anxious to try to free it, unfortunately I have yet to receive it in the mail. I will post before and after pictures when I receive the coin.
Wow, I just realized I reached the 2,000 post milestone.
check youtube.com for dozens of slab crack videos _______________________________________________________ Look Out. He's got a hammer and he's comin in HOT!
I just use a box cutter to cut the glue and a screwdriver inserted into the cut and twist the plastic apart. This method also works well with the plastic cases on the proof sets as well. No need for a hammer or anything heavy handed and I haven't hurt a coin yet. if coins were meant to be in slabs they would be issued with one at the mint
Got the coin in the mail yesterday. I am planning on picking up a few tools from work tomorrow so I can free Abe from his plastic prison when I get home. Its almost time for a prison break.
