Hi all sorry about the poor picture but I have found this coin and I can find no reference to there being a dot below the bust on this type of coins ?

I don't think this is an error. It is correctly termed as a 'stop'. These marks often substitute for mint marks. In this case it has the humble function of indicating the beginning and the end of the legend.

This coin was issued by the Commissioners of Currency, Malaya, and has a copper nickel composition.
