I was thinking it would be nice to have an educational section, such as "Coin of the week" This section would be devoted to one coin and would be started with information from the coin facts page, such as weight, size, years minted and so forth. Our members can expand the facts of that coin with attributions, history, reference books or links, grading tips, and any other knowledge that a new coin collector might not know from reading the " Red Book" basics.

Just a suggestion, and I am sure there are lots of ideas that can be added.

Well, we sort of do that on the home page and the numismatic search page. I change them every week.

This is a great idea Tim, we could also post a link in those sections to "disuss" the coin and have a thread started here about each lesson. I think that's kind of what you mean?

I may not get to it until tomorrow evening but I like the idea.

Thanks for pointing that home page out to me....funny thing, I saved the Active topics page as my favorites and when I click it to come to this site on a daily basis, I skip the home page completely. I did not realize I was missing so much information. That is the kind of info I was looking for. Great stuff. Thanks

I know I'm not a Mod, but if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

Tim
