Washington Inaugural Centennial Token - NY

About the size of a cent, weighs 3.3 grams.

Obverse:

Wording: GEO. WASHINGTON FIRST PRES'T U.S. *1789*

Reverse:

Wording: (rim) CENTENNIAL OF HIS INAUGURATION
(inside) NEW YORK APRIL 30, 1889

I've searched around a bit and can't find one like it in the first 80 Google hits. I'm guessing it was some commercial token/commemorative.

The hole is fairly neat and I'd guess that it was sold for a charm bracelet or a necklace.

I was kind of wondering what company/jewler manufactured it.

It has some dirt and wear, but still has most of its original shine. Seems more brass than bronze.
