Regarding where I came in with the copper penny 1943 it's like a small town stories seem to last a while. Everyone's response makes it interesting. I have a copper penny with zinc on the date side. It looks like a start of plate with no finish. The date is 194? The date has a collection of zinc that looks like a 6 on end but is not. The other side is copper with wheats about VF or XF normal color petina. If someone has seen one like this. has any comment let's hear it. LOL Thanks I guess.
