What say ye Lincoln collectors? Not a high dollar coin, but I like it. Can't tell from the close up pics, but it is very much a shiny red...

AU-58/ MS-60 the reason I went ahead and put in the AU grade is that the cheek is obscured in a shadow ,, even though the wheat heads look UNC the rim has some of the darkening associated with slight circulation .

The dings in the hair ,forehead, cheek, shoulder and Rims all keep the coin in the slider grades.

This was a quick pic on my deck in natural light. I didn't have too much time as I was freezing....I think I will try to take some more tonight under different lighting. Probably will show more marks. lol

I still like it, even if it was only worth a cent. It's in pretty good shape for almost 50 years old, and it cost me nothing.

Thanks MM.

No offense would ever be taken by me on this forum. I actually appreciate all comments, especially observations like yours on the shadow. I certainly didn't want to sound defensive either. You can pretty much imagine a smile on my face everytime I post here to understand all of my comments better.

I like all of my coins, even the slabbed MS68 ANI coins that would probably cross to AU by PCGS....

to be honest Irish, I don't remember. I think I got it in one of those "lots" that most new collectors fall into on ebay. At least the new collectors that decide to collect and don't subscribe here prior to knowing better....
