picked this up off ebay for $20 shipped
its the 2nd to last one I need for my mint state album. the reverse shows dark blue/purple toning on the right side of the coin. also appears to be full bell lines. I might see 2 vertical brown lines, they seem to be caused by some toning of some sort. the obverse is great. seems to have a milky surface on the pic but in hand it fades under certain light points. few bag hits on the cheek and the number 2. other than that id say its at least MS60. I would hope the pros on here would bump that number a few points....

I find it amazing that you've found a 1918 S dime in circulation, yet the oldest half was a 1942. None-the-less both amazing finds!

Wow, I love your coin. This is just the look I love on my franklins... Throw nice bell lines Into the mix and look out.

I would say ms63 or 64fbl. The mark under the bell between F and D worries me some.

For $20 shipped, I jump on that 10 times out of 10.

It seems to me that nice uncirculated Franklins that have a few bag marks on their cheek,
like this one, usually get a MS63. The hazing/milky substance is probably the beginning of toning
which may or may not distract from the grade.

Cant decide for the reverse as the area of lettering is not visible enough for me but I would say for the obverse MS63 FBL

I like the toning very much
