One of two I got in the mail today.  Only two more silver dollars to go to complete my set: the 2012 Grey Cup and the 2014 WW2 Declaration. |

Here is the other coin in the mail today...  I can't figure out why my scanner blackens these coins like this. They do look beautiful in hand. |

I used to use a scanner on toned or partially toned coins only, when I first started. I would recommend you take a look at Coin Photography, Image Editing, and Related Software Forum for other useful photography tools and ideas, if you have not already done so. My paternal ancestry is from Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. While checking the Royal Canadian Website, I found they are honoring the centennial of the Bluenose, which was constructed at one of the shipyards there in Lunenburg. The long and the short of it is the mint made a sale...well two sales.   |
