Thanks Loonielewy, I should have mentioned the Toonie was actually my reasoning for the purchase as like you say 2000 knowledge was the circulation strike that year.

Just in case anyone was wondering, that box of dimes at work had 35 rolls in it. About 25 rolls of 67/68, 10 rolls of pre-66. Christmas is saved!

I mean 35 rolls of silver dimes? Make sure you check the 68s to see if there silver or not with a magnet. I don't want to do the math on the silver value but a few thousand dollars at least if there all silver. I'd say that is more like a treasure find then a nice find.

This particular token appears to be a 25-cents blank

According to jandm.com: "The purpose was to loan these tokens out to vending machine companies so they could calibrate their machinery in advance of a new coin being released.

It's a medallion, and was included in a set of 1999p test tokens sold to collectors.
Here is a set for sale on ebay; 334222597112
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...
