I have one too, bought in a lot of RCM medallions about 10 years ago. Mine is the size of a 25cents. I thought it came from a set. So I looked in My 2019 Charlton's. There is a section on RCM medallions there written by SPP_Ottawa. Apparently the medallion in the set is the size of a 50 cent piece, but there are also medallions the size of a quarter. "Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Bought this last week and sent it into Anacs for grading. I'm happy - scratches are only noticeable with 10x glass on obv - not everywhere.   |

Wow very nice, the 1890 is about 100× my budget for coins each month. So if I saved all my coin budget for the next 8-9 years I could maybe afford a lower to mid grade lol. Hope you got a good price for it, congrats on that key date.
