Thanks for the feedback everyone. It's the occasional nice coin that keeps me going, especially since it is often necessary to sift through a lot of junk to find them. One of these days I'm going to have to attend the RCNA show.

Nice coin Otto! I love Elizabeth II fifty centers and own 8 mint-state examples myself. I've been trying to acquire all of the silver business strikes through 1967 in MS65 or better, which has turned out to be a real challenge (so far I have 4 MS65's out of 8).

Quote: @ justanothercoinaddict can you please explain , there are more than 8 silver business up to 1967? I misspoke originally when I said I have 8 pieces - I should have said 6 as I sold two pieces that I didn't really like. Also, I only have 3 dates in MS65. A major senior moment there. So to clarify I have 6 out of 18, according to the Charlton guide. The coins I have: 1953 Large Date, No Shoulder Fold (the series key) - PCGS MS64; 1953 Large Date with Shoulder Fold - currently being graded at PCGS; 1955 - PCGS MS63 (submitted this for grading expecting at least MS64 - PCGS was hard on this one); 1956 - PCGS MS65; 1962 - PCGS MS65+; and finally, 1963 - PCGS MS65.

I picked up this beauty at a coin show here in Louisiana this weekend. Photographing a PL coin is quite a challenge! Canada 1 Dollar 1979 - 300th Anniversary of the Griffon
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
