Vrbs Roma, common Roman type, but I like the appearance of this one and the officina is not so common. edited for better photo Edited by Doucet 05/12/2012 2:02 pm

This may be a common type, but to get one in this condition is not so common I don't think. I have been keeping my eyes open for a nice one of these that doesn't get out of sight on the price. I think you have a nice coin, common or not.

Excellent details, even the hair on the wolfs back is clear and sharp.

That's a nice coin. I am always looking out for these in this grade at a good price especially with the chi tho in field. Good find.

The faces on the twins are really nice. There would be temptation to clear away a bit more of the sand but that could ruin what is already nice.

With that desert patina, it has to be one of the best 'URBS ROMA''s I have seen. Thanks for posting it. I am still looking for a nice one myself.

I finally have one of these in my collection, so I wanted to share it. The pictures don't show it well, but the coin has a very nice dark chocolate patina. It was struck at Siscia with a mintmark of Dot Gamma SIS Dot:

Thanks Doucet. I've been waiting to find one in good enough condition that was not over priced.
