I think the OP coins aren't quite MS, especially on the obverse, like others have noted.

Thanks to everyone for the research, opinions, and suggestions. Your ideas along with the pictures from MVC have really helped me.

I sealed it rather than putting it in an album.

I have young grandchildren and they love seeing coins like this! I also try to work in a history lesson whenever possible.

Regardless of the over kill on the grade, it is really in nice shape. Not a MS-67 though. Glad you took it out of that silly slab.

I think it looks ok to me. I have a few steel cents that look just as nice and some that look dark. But it doesn't look like a 67

I will say that in my opinion it has never been 'reprocessed' like so many have been.
Those have a slight bluish tint to them. The original ones have a white or silver/gray tint.

Non-processed BU ones are getting harder and harder to find.
