....a rather nice, and just barely circulated, 1887 Victoria Crown? Its' value in Krause (KM765) seems to belie its' low mintage, but I am unfamiliar with the general demand for first-year types and low mintages for such coins.

Note: I have post-processed these pics. My technique is an attempt to bring out hidden detail and damage from the original photographs, and the original luster and color suffers for my efforts. I expect the coin and toning both to be lighter than shown here.

I have found Krause values reasonably accurate for the 1887's. The first year of a type (like this Jubilee Head crown) were saved in greater numbers than, say the 1888 or 1889, etc. I sure like the look of that one

Meh. The seller is asking 90 Pounds for the coin, a bit much if Krause is reasonably accurate. There will be another.

Keep checking ebay daily as new coins are placed up for sale almost daily. You could try a search of ebay using that word and see what you come up with. Saves going through all the auctions.
