Peaceman Valued Member United States 434 Posts	Posted 05/29/2012 4:18 pm Clashes happen when there is no metal (planchet)between the 2 dies when they come together to form a coin. The 2 dies collide (damaging both dies (obverse and reverse) and transfer part of the image (highest divices) to the other side of the coin. Report this Post to the Staff
