Picked up a box of nickles, cents and quarters for the slow holiday weekend. No silver except this battle scarred Jefferson . Sadly it's been very slim with silver lately but I did come across a few fun coins

I was thinking the same thing about the quarter... More than grease, it looks like a die cap that had gotten very thin in the middle but was still thick near the rim.

Only one quarter, just more realistic photo, I have a hard time with lighting. Unless you're counting the East Carribean.....

I'm still learning with these things but what stands out that says this is a die cap vs. just a Grease Filled Die?
