In honor of Oxos' birthday (  ), I bought myself another coin. Oh darn, there I go again. Anyway, this is a Tacitus Antoninianus RIC 210, Z, struck 275-276 at Antioch. I know it is a common coin, but the quality of this coin is so much better then my only other Tacitus, I just couldn't pass it up, especially for the price. OBV: IMP C M CL TACITVS AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right REV: CLEMENTIA TEMP, Tacitus receiving globe from Jupiter, Z in lower centre, XXI in ex.   |

Full flan with all details struck up, and in almost 'as struck' condition,.......
they don't come much better than that!

Thanks Oxos, but not quite. $26 including shipping. Again, I know this is a common coin, but I have had problems finding quality Tacitus coins at affordable prices. This fit the bill for me.

nice coin jw! I don't have any of tacitus yet. This coin arrived today and I couldn't be more pleased. Even my wife is impressed (and she is ambivalent to my hobby). Other then the chocolate brown patina, the coin is in what I would call an "as struck" condition. The portrait has high relief as does the reverse and the legends. Worth every penny spent!
