Anyone know when to expect the 2012 First Spouse coins? They have yet to hit the 2012 release schedule.

If no one responds, email Dave Harper (Editor of NN) and he has contacts with the US Mint and he might be able to ask them personally.

His email is david dot harper at fwmedia dot com ***E-Mail Address Edited***

It is strange they don't have a date posted on their web site yet. With the new director, the schedule is really falling behind on publishing info like that.

All 8 2012 FS coins are now on the bottom of schedule as TBD, appeared on the calendar June 7th, so it appears they will be issued after all.

It really does seem that more products are hitting the schedule at the last moment like the 2012 5oz pucks. Seems like anything planned could at least be on there with a summer fall winter date and then update that when they decide

The mint has to many higher priced items now that letting them fall behind is bad planning. Collectors have to budget and when they let them fall behind they suddenly hit the collector with a bunch of high cost items at once and many of them can't handle it. When that happens and a collector misses out on something he becomes more likely to stop buying them at all and they lose him on future offerings in that series.

I would think most collectors would have an annual budget for that, since it is pretty much the same on most sets and bullion.

It is when they limit it too much, that really gets the collector mad.
