Would this be a dot quarter? Seems more rare than the maple leaf quarters. Looks much better in person lol, but I guess ok for $4 scrap price.

I do not see any dot next to the seven at the bottom. I do not have one but I know that is where it is located.Keep checking and good luck.

Hey thanks for the help, I see now it is a regular 47 quarter. Not a 48 issue with leaf or dot.

When looking for the dot, look where the maple leaf is located on the 1947 quarter, that will give you the primary location of where the dot should be

I wouldn't melt a plain 1947. I've quite a few maple leaf 47's... but only a few plain ones... they are kinda' scarce.
