Spending a week in Nevis (Lesser Antilles) exploring and enjoying the sun and culture. Took awhile to find, but we found the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton, our first Secretary of the Treasury. He was born on Nevis in the mid 1700's; pretty interesting guy if you haven't ever read much about him.

During Washington's presidency, Hamilton became the first secretary of the Treasury. In this position he secured the traditional strength of American finance. He is chiefly responsible for establishing the credit of the United States, both at home and abroad. His Report on the Public Credit, Jan. 14, 1790, constituted a watershed in American history. It marked an end of an era of bankruptcy and repudiation.

Very cool, I love historical places like that. I only wish You could see them the way they were before all the modern buildings took over the landscape. It just makes it harder for me to imagine what it was like back then. Still really cool I know you enjoyed it

I had no idea where Alexander Hamilton was born. I live a few miles away from the spot where he lost the duel.
