I don't currently include any in my collection. The closest I come to a "damaged" commem is a counter-stamped Stone Mountain.

I'd enjoy seeing what you've got, however!

The thought of a Hawaiian or Spanish Trail with a hole in it makes me cringe. I'm thinking it could happen though, especially to the Hawaiian. The Hawaiian Dollar (Dala) and others in the series minted in 1883 were frequently holed or enameled on the reverse (Royal Coat of Arms). PG

There is a cut out Hawaiian like my cut out Bridgeport Avatar on the PCGS forum. You have to remember alot of these coins were holed, looped, cutout or began carried as pocketpieces pretty close to the time of release and many times not much over face value.

A commendable action, in my opinion.

I don't collect holed coins or commems. It'll probably never be worth over melt. What grade is it in?

It is one of the state initial/number counter-stamps used by groups in southern states as a promotional tool to sell more of the coins. I'll be posting a write-up with more details and images soon.

The Southern State counterstamp is one commem that I don't have. That is another interesting series.
