Not sure what you mean by "variables"? Looks like an O-101. Common 18/17. Nice overdate.

Unlike many of the community's pillars who are dealers or lifetime buyers, my "expertise" was acquired only recently. I rely on experts like those who post on this site to help steer me in the right direction. I bid and won this coin, hoping the two "variables" I noticed were apparent - large eight followed by eight over seven. In doing more research, I realized that in rarity terms, this coin is considered common. Still, the value of being an Overton 101 does add more to the coin's worth than what I paid. It's always nice to get a bargain.

I see a second '"variable" of being minted slightly off-center.
Is this one of the "variables' you were talking about?

I concur this appears to be an O-101 (R1), and I would grade this at VF25. A nice example of this coin type!!

I like any Capped Bust half dollar and a strong overdate completely rocks!!
