I am going through and updating my paper currency inventory and reacquainted myself with these two over-inked (along the bottom of THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA) CU WEB Notes {F-1917E} (1988A E-K Run 8 (5 Front - 6 Back)).

Anybody interested in WEB notes?

I should have used a dark background when scanning these.

I was and have maybe one hundred give or take a few. Doesn't seem to be much interest in them though especially if they are not CU. Most of mine are circulated. You have a nice note there.

Since I shifted to series from "everything" collecting, I am looking for that STAR WEB Note (1988A F* {Fr-1917-F*}), and that would be the only one I would keep for the type. Still looking for it too!

Pretty interesting notes.

I've looked for the web notes, but I have never found any in circulation. I should buy a few for my set.

Some of them can be pricey, but the majority are relatively inexpensive.

I have 39 WEB Notes altogether and I am scanning them for upcoming sale/auction.

Here's a pretty good website for WEB Notes;

http://quadrigaancients.com/web/

I am getting them ready to go to another collection via sales/auction soon.

I actually received the F* Web Note from my bank when they entered circulation... I didn't know the value on the note then and let it go cheap... I soon discovered the error of my ways and purchased this little gem in raw condition on ebay... This is just one error in my world error collection that will go towards my granddaughters college education (I just hope she will know the value when it's time to sell as she is only 7 years old)...

Awesome note Brokencoin!

I thought that WEB notes were printed with ONE pass?

The Web Notes front and back's were printed in one long pass (going through a series of dryers) prior to cutting them into 32 subject sheets, then entering the COPAK (3rd printing), this is why most of the Web errors are 3rd print errors...
