I am scanning my paper currency collection for inventory purposes and thought that I would share. This is my lone "Saddle Blanket".

Dare I ask why it is called a "saddle blanket"?

"These bills are larger than the ones in circulation today, as they measure 3 1/4 by 7 1/2 inches"

Today's currency has the dimensions of approx. 2 1/2 inches wide by 6 1/8 inches long.

Sweet black eagle! I have one of those myself though the signatures different on mine and yours appears to be in a bit higher grade than mine. I was thinking of doing the exact same thing with my collection. When I get around to scanning them, I can post some of them for all to see.

I like it! Thanks for sharing. Now that's what bills should look like. Dark and mysterious.

This one of my favorite notes.... Thanks for sharing.

The other is the $5.00 version with the Indian Chief on it.
