I am generally not interested in Islamic coins, but one of the Playstation games that I play takes place in early 16th century Constantinople, so I thought it would be cool to have a coin that would have been minted and circulating in the city during this era, when Bayezid II was Sultan. Plus I don't have an Ottoman coin yet. Found these two and was wondering if they really are coins of him and minted in Constantinople as the seller describes. The first one is $12 shipped (is 11 mm wide) and the second is $14 shipped (its 12 mm wide). Very much need the help because I practically have no knowledge of these coins. Thanks all.

Oh and I also found this much nicer one for $17 shipped but the name Novar is in the description, is that the mint? (again, I'm only looking for coins minted in Constantinople)

Just going by aesthetics, I would pick the third coin.
I also see references to a "Novar mint", but no details on location.

Thanks guys. Does anyone know what would be the mintmark on these coins, if there is one at all? Like how would they have known that the coin in t0rress's post is from Constantinople mint?

a map of all 115 Ottoman Empire mints from 1299 to 1922

The problem I see is that they have 4 pins on Constantinople but don't show the names of those mints. Was one Novar? I failed to find that answer but there are a lot of coins offered online as Novar so it must have been a big mint? I don't collect Islamic coins and don't read Arabic. You need to find someone who does to guide as to which part of the legend names the mint.

Look under Kosovo.

Looks like the third one is gone from my potential purchases (for now at least; I may pick it up sometime in the future if my interest for Ottoman coins grows).

Maybe I should contact the seller of the first two and ask how he attributed them to Constantinople?
