It does look like there is scratches under "Monticello". The face looks clean. I would think that it is either a PL 63-64 with a full step endorsement. Report this Post to the Staff
biokemist6 Bedrock of the Community United States 12437 Posts	Posted 06/16/2012 12:31 am It is a proof nickel, S-mint business strikes were only minted from 1968-1970 in the modern era. It does have some spotting and a few scattered hairlines so I would grade it PR63. Report this Post to the Staff
