I have two questions about the
RCM coin mintage and appreciate every feedback.
Question 1: Does the
RCM need the authorization from the government of Canada before the
RCM issue a certain mintage of Canadian circulation coins? The circulation coins include toonie, loonie, 50 cents, quarter, 10 cent, 5 cent, and penny. Which department of the government of Canada can decide the mintage of Canadian circulation coins if the answer is yes?
Question 2: Does the
RCM need the authorization from the government of Canada before the
RCM issue a certain mintage of non-circulation coins including numismatics and collectibles, and bullion?
I am asking these two questions because I think that the mintage of Canadian circulation coins must be approved by the government of Canada before the
RCM's production, but the mintage of numismatics and bullion does not need government approval.
Please advise if I am wrong. Thanks.
