Coin shops used to have weekly auction style bid boards.
A number of coins would be placed on a board for all to see. Customers would place bids on the coins and at the end of the week the coins would go to the highest bidder.
I have not seen one of these since coming to the USA they were popular in the UK. Coin dealers used them to move excess inventory.

I don't frequent the coin shops that much here in the Houston area.
Houston numismatics in Times Square does not
Royal coins Does not as far as I know
The coin shop in Bellaire who's name I forgot does not.
The one on I10 near Wilcrest does not
The one at the junction of Dairy Ashford and Westhiemer has never even let me through the door so I would not know about that.
