Hi all. I came across some 1964D pennies in pretty nice condition and was wondering what you thought about getting them graded. Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks!

I see a lot of tics on the rim so my guess would be not worth the cost of getting slabbed.

The cost of grading would be Way more than that coin is going to be for a long, long time.
Definitely worth saving in a 2x2 though.

My general rule for getting a coin slabbed is it must be worth more than $150 after. If not, then the cost of grading is not worth the expense.

The next time you have this question, use the price guides like NGC to determine if it's worth it:

with BadThad $150 is my general rule also and I use at least two pricing guides to determine value.
