Yep.

It definitely isn't a genuine sovereign - the details are all either too crude, wrong (such as EDVARDVS instead of EDWARDVS) or missing altogether (such as the designer's initials on the reverse and the rim denticles). Compare with a genuine KE7 sov.

It sure doesn't look gold, either - not with a verdigris spot on the obverse.

It's probably a piece of play money.

ah thanks sap. the date is what got me initally.. I was like hold on a sec.. haha I think I'm gonna buy this.. just so it makes my other coins look good ;)

Could this be a spielmarke or game token? It does not appear that it was intended to be a coin that would pass as a gold sovereign. I don't see any signs of any gold plating on this piece. It is also very crude to pass as a coin of the realm. Is there anything on the edge?

cant really say much about the coin, friend of mine mailed me the pics wanting my opinion (he just started collecting a month or two ago)... I guess it could be a game token or some fantasy money or something like the us fantasy Trade dollars.. I want it though.. not sure why !
