I just went to a new RBC branch today and bought 10 rolls of nickels. I got six customer wrapped, two of which looked very old. When I opened them, one was a full roll of 1968 UNC nickels, and the other was a full roll of 1967 UNC nickels.

Needless to say, I will be returning to the bank, and the way the teller was talking to me it sounded like they had some old dimes that they were stuck with. I'll take a look at those next and see if there's anything silver...

@Theawesomeguyscoins

Welcome to the community as well! Do you know how much those coins would be worth? I made a post for the 1968's because I need help grading them. If you can help grade them or put a $ value on them, I'd love for you to check out my post!

Unless they are extremely high grade, supply far outweighs demand. For even a 63, you'd be lucky to get over 50 cents for them

UNC would be a very high grade. For the '67s it would be probably around 2.50 for one. For the 1968s, though, it would be around 4.40, according to coins and Canada.

The link you attached is actually for a canadian dime. Someone suggested that it was an AU58 grade. My post can be found here: http://goccf.com/t/306394

Spent cash this weekend to see what I might come up with. 2 2016 loonies, spenders. 1 2000 Freedom quarter. 1 2013 frosted Beluga's quarter. 1 1999 dime into my ARP haul.

1970 was a low mintage year, ~10 million quarters produced vs. ~133 million the previous year.

I believe that 1970 is also a really low mintage year for nickels. I have yet to find one.

Mintage 1970 5 cents: 5,726,010

Most others are about 27,000,000 or higher.

Oh. Okay, because coinsandcanada said nothing about the mintage
