I found this in my change in Nebraska.

If it weighs 5.5 grams ,it's silver.If 4.54 grams ,it's nickel.

Thanks guys for the welcoming messagages! It's a silver! I weighed the coin. It came in at exactly 5.5g. I suspected that it was, it's pretty worn & beat up & has some very dark toning. Nickel is much more resistant to wear & doesn't tone the same dark color that silver often does. Mintage is 20,000! It seems to have come from this set https://www.mint.ca/store/coins/201...-prod3002521
Theres one on ebay for around $40 (in proof uncirculated cond.)

The question then is how in the heck did it end up in Nebraska...
