Hey, while you are coin roll hunting for nickels,
I need some 2012-P nickels for kids coin folders.
if you get some I can mail you a self-addressed stamped BuBBle Envelope to mail me back the 2012-P nickels
I can use a First-Class Mail BuBBle Envelope that holds up to 13oz

Penny4Me, Sounds like you have the same problem I do. I find a bunch of 2009D's but no P's. I'm guessing Mr. Mosley doesn't receive too many P's either due to his proximity to Denver but you never know!

I've searched $60 worth of nickels and haven't seen a 2009 of either mint yet :P

i dont like em, nor pennies
they take way to much time to do

dimes are my favorite, I can go through a box in just over 10 minutes
pennies and nickels have to go through every single coin

- the silver war time nickels turn a nasty gray, but supposedly the ones in good shape retain same coloring as normal nickels, so I don't risk it and go through every single one,

- canadian nickels that are mostly nickel are worth more than 5 cents, I like to keep these and is another reason why I have to go through every single nickel

- Buffalo nickels I still haven't found a single one, they will look like any regular nickel from the side

am I doing something wrong? it takes me a lot of time to search nickels O.O

Nickels are my favorite coin to search, you always find a little something that helps fuel your next hunt. I have been doing boxes for a while now, it just takes experience. Once you get used to them you can spot the older ones real quick, they are the ones with character unlike newer ones. I only search for older nickels and I can do a box from start to finish in app 45 minutes. Thanks and Good Luck. Dennis.

Nickels are the most time consuming coin to search. You can't edge sort you really have to look at the dates on each. And don't get me started about the 1964 D coins. More than half the times I see something old looking with a D mint on the reverse it's a 1964.

Still it is nice to find buffalos, WN, and other keepers.
