Seems like the batch of pennies I got ,have a lot of cracked sculls and like this one cracked face.Are they really that common?

Boy they really use the dies till they die dont they? Did you check to see if it matches up with something else, like a DO or DR etc. ?

Well daniels,it looks like a split rather.The crack is not filled in like most diecracks I have on other coins.Im at work right now,but when I get home in the morning,I will try to get better close up pics of it.
And Papatony,I will check it a bit closer for DO or DR.....

Well if it is incused it could be a strike through foreign object, like a piece of wire etc...

I don't think it is a striking issue such as a strike through and I don't think it is a die issue. I think this is a planchet issue. I think it was struck on a defective planchet.
