I currently have the 1863 & 1862 ML Marshall store tokens, but have not been able to find an 1860 Marshall token. Anyone out there know of one for sale in XF or higher?

Thank you in advance for any help in this endeavor.

Dave, last one I saw for sale was from Heritage. AU, though. Too rich for me. I have the '63. I dont collect N.Y. tokens, but like those of early coin shops, not tackle.

Thanks. The 1862 & 1863 are the easy ones to find... not so much the 1860. Did see one advertised on the web from a coin shop in MA last year, but it had already sold.

Thanks again.

ML Marshall, as in the purveyor of fishing tackle and rare coin? I did not realize that there were other issues

The 1862 has a fly fisherman on the obverse catching a fish. The 1860 looks similar to the '62, but I believe it was minted out of aluminum and several other metals... at least that is what I had read somewhere

Hi Dave H ... There's a copper one in Hayden's current auction:

As you can see, it has some issues, but there's a low staring bid. There's a low starting bid of $25, and I personally doubt that it'll surpass $50. I don't recall any aluminum ones ... white metal, yes. The WM ones I've seen have been UNC or nearly so.

ExoGuy,

Thanks for the info. Looked at the token, but may hold off until I find one in better condition. I agree w/ the white metal ones being in MS condition. The one I saw a while back that had already been sold was too.

Thanks again.
