Hi guys

Don't understand the thought process behind this set "1977 Specimen Double Dollar Set"...I see my set on ebay for approx. $42.00.

But if I took all the coins out and sold them separately, wouldn't I get more money for the coins...?

With these double dollar specimen sets, or known as Prestige Sets, prior to 1992 - at my local coin shop, the dealer takes the silver coin out (for .500 melt) and I buy the rest of the specimen set for $3. Most of the ones on ebay are hardly worth the shipping costs...
