I thought the Julian II would be easier, but foiled again. It would seem the mintmark should have a palm branch before and after the mintmark but I can't see it on the image. But even so, it can only be RIC VIII Constantinople 165, 166 or 167 depending on the letters and if there is a dot preceding the mintmark. I do not see a dot, so that rules out 167.

Constantinople RIC 166/167 Julian II AE3. 361-363 AD. DN FL CL IVLIANVS P F AVG, pearl-diademed, helmeted, cuirassed bust left with shield / VOT X MVLT XX, four lines in laurel wreath, palm branch-CONSPA/B-palm branch in ex.

I cannot help you much with ID (the Claudius II one might be RIC261, I have something like that which I labelled as such).

I really like the selection you got - nice and crisp and great detail!

=> *very, very well played, Bing ... very well played*

Wow, I must admit that you sounded a bit like me (well done) ...

Ummm, however => the key to grabbing "The Belt" from stevex6 is to have an internal argument with yourself, followed by a last-minute change of heart where you end-up turning on your audience ...

=> yup, that's when you've arrived!

... I suggest a bit less sleep and a lot more wine ...

Oh, but once again => that was absolutely awesome => keep-up the great work!!

If I may make a suggestion. It is easier (for me at least) when a single coin is posted per thread. I find myself going back and forth looking at the coins and making sure which coin is identified by which number. So perhaps in the future you can post one per thread, especially when seeking attribution help. This is not meant as a personal criticism and I hope it's not taken that way.

Regards,

valdiman: Thanks for not taking what I said as personal. It just makes things easier when I don't have to keep going back and forth especially in multiple page threads. I'll be looking for your unusual image.

Regards,
