would this be some sort of ladder? I don't know it just stuck out to me. I got it as change at the bar tonight.

A ladder has numbers that go "12345678" in order. A short ladder may be "00002345" or "14823450"

Oh ok makes sense, I was just thinkin because the 21-31 count up and the 86-87 count up. I see that I'm grasping at air here though. Thanks :)

Is there such a thing as a two digit ladder like that?

Probably not, but if I found a note with a serial like, 12131415 or 22242628 or 21314151 I personally would keep it. The 21314151 is kind cool because you could read it like 21 31 41 51 or 2 13 14 15 1. Just my opinion :)
