Just wanted to get every ones opinion on whether or not they think this Norfolk would get a CAC sticker if sent in. PCGS has it graded as a 67 and I am strongly considering making this purchase.

I would agree with MS 67 and would expect CAC to do the same. Beautiful example of a hole in my set.

Jdavis I think that's on the holder but I'm waiting to hear back on that before making a final decision.

Nice coin! It certainly looks "clean"! This is one that can be found nice, and this one definitely appears to qualify.

I've not been active in the CAC "Beanie" arena, so I don't have any experience with first-hand submissions. However, if this coin has strong luster in addition to the clean surfaces seen in the images, it would seem a likely successful candidate.

Good luck!

Commens I've always been more of a fan of the clean ones but every now and then like a tone. The pics in the slabs that werent as much of a close up looked good my gut says that CAC would probably say yes but the PCGS + would probably be a bit of a stretch.

Im leaning towards getting it if the seller will confirm the marks on the reverse are only on the slab and not the coin.

My opinions FWIW ...

Lovely well struck example with the bright lustrous surface aesthetic that appeals to my eye.

The scuffs on the reverse are on the PCGS holder and not on the coin ... no worries there.

I would submit this coin to CAC with some confidence ... but John Albanese has not been very kind to my submissions of coins that I was sure would gain the CAC beanie ...

My CAC track record is 34 of 59 submitted coins (58%) have earned the green beanie ... and I thought every one of them were quality for the grade.

I see nothing in this lovely Norfolk that would hold me back from a fair price purchase ... just be aware that if the CAC beanie is your goal ... they have very high standards.

Willing to post a photo of my PCGS MS67/CAC Norfolk if the comparison helps you ... it looks a lot like the example in your photos.

Nickel thank you for the info.

I would love to see a picture of yours.

CAC isn't a deal breaker for me but I would like to get it on as many as possible and ideally all of them. Normally I try and stick to ones that already have the CAC but when I see a real nice clean one like this its hard to resist.

Truth be told I'm on the CAC waiting list and the closest dealer to me is about an hour away according to their website is about an hour away so I am not sure how I would submit it anyway. I also have a bay bridge Id like to submit and a Pilgram but the pilgram got rejected for the plus service so not sure what the chances of that would be.

While I figure out how to get it to CAC I might take a long shot on PCGS + and just ask them to keep it in the normal holder if it doesn't make the grade.

FWIW I was pretty sure that the mark was just on the slab and the seller did just email me back confirming that much. Fingers crossed we can work something out

Nickel I ended up getting the coin shown above. Its in the mail as we speak.

Now to find away to get it to CAC and see what happens, might take a shot at the PCGS + for the heck of it too but havent decided.

Fantastic coin by the way I love the nice clean set you have put together
