As far as I can tell no genuine coins, Ottoman or otherwise, have never been struck in Luxor. This coin, made in Ottoman style and clearly reading "struck in Luxor" in Arabic, is presumably an imitation made for sale to the tourists. The denomination-mark says "7 S"; which is both an unusual number and an unknown unit of money. The date (sometime in the reign of Abdul Hamid II, AD 1876-1909) may not be reliable.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
