Jerry, I can't argue that point. In my defense, I think this is a coin I got in an unclean lot and is why I don't buy them any longer.
However, poor me. But thanks to everyone else (not Jerry) who commented so positively about my Licinius I from London.

I'm not done cleaning this, fresh out of the soup...  but I think there is enough detail, this is one out of my large group that I bought, I paid $2 for this coin...I haven't fully attributed it yet.... Licinius l 21mm x 3.11g SIS...dot

From the image, I'd say the coin looks good now and so I'd stop cleaning it. Although, maybe you think you can improve the coin some?

Gil-galad, Looks good in my pic's, just want to remove some the gunk at the 10:00 area on the obv....also on the rev..the edge from 7:00 to 10:00 and from edge 1 to 5:00, just a touch up,to reveal more lettering......

Which comes back to the original premise of this thread: there do seem to be quite a few Licinius coins available that are in outstanding condition. James
