I had an 1899 $5.00 Silver Certificate Ever since I saw one, it was on my radar and then I found one I could afford.... sadly though, I had to sell it to payoff part of my credit card I will get another some time. DavidUK Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 2624 Posts	Posted 07/20/2012 12:54 pm <--I am fortunate enough never to have had to part with a note but when I hit hard times I slowly sold 8 gold soveriegns that I had bought for £40 each. I got about £150-£160 each so I made decent profit but I regret that I had to do it. They were all in good condition with each of the different portraits for each monarch on them and I know I will never replace them so that makes me sad :( Report this Post to the Staff
