

The gold appears to be stamped .900 IF and the silver .900 IF as well.
I got these off
ebay and tried Huguenin Medallieurs (listed as the manufacturer in the presentation case) for more info but the merged company doesn't have records going back to 1967.
Any idea where / if I can get info to authenticate the purpose of the medal?
According to the seller:
These coins were issued in 1967 to raise money for the renovation of the Cathedral in St. Gallen. These coins were issued in .900 Gold and .900 Silver in these large 33mm size (they were also issued in a smaller size, but this is the harder to find larger size).
The coin features Saint Gallus and the bear that he is famous for taming in the woods. On each coin is written SANKT / GALLENS / KATHEDRALE / ERBAUT 1767 / RENOVERT / 1967.
