All you need is a popsicle stick and a pencil. Balance the stick on the pencil, glue in place. You now have a balance beam scale. Place any post 82 penny on one far end and any other penny on the other end. If it ballances, it is Copper. If no balance, not Copper. Simple and cheap and fast. Report this Post to the Staff

I never hear of this before either. I too say thanks for the links. Now I've got to start looking at all the 83's again. This is an odd one since as pointed out, they started making the Zinc ones in the middle of the year so it should not have happened that easily. And now there are two of them.
