Could be a gas bubble.

It could be a plating blister (as noted), or a random die dent. It might also be a radically misaligned die clash. Are there any other marks? We have two 1991 MAD clashes listed on maddieclashes.com, but this is not one of them.

No other marks. It doesn't look like the typicle gas bubble and I didn't want to try and dent it,yet.
