Help With This Quarter (What Is Going On?)

c3p0 New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 08/04/2012 08:42 am I was searching through quarter rolls yesterday when I came upon this: Bing!... I thought. I look at the quarter itself and see it is a 2000P South Carolina. I am pretty certain this is not a silver quarter because the silver quarters were S mintmarked. But the rim shows no sign of it being clad. What is up with this? Any thoughts or insight? Report this Post to the Staff

Its like the copper layer on that side was thinner, and the nickel covered it up.. or something. It gets me all excited too, until I take a closer look. Report this Post to the Staff
