Trout I was thinking about offloading the 1951 florin pictured in this forum but maybe I should keep it if they are difficult to get in high grade

Quote: I picked up another 1927 florin from the post office on my way to another job just south of Mt Newman. I won't be able to post any picks or scans till I get back home but this one will go MS65 or better, Very happy with this purchase :D

Love the pic markin I'm at a remote mine camp at the moment and only have my laptop ( the iPhone went for a swim and is in the shop for repairs) I will certainly post scans when I get home The only faults I can see with my Lupe are a couple of small marks on the lustre in the field of the reverse. I will put it under my USB gizmo when I get home.

Both coins seems to have obverse die crack around the lettering between 1 and 3 o'clock... Or is that hair?

I see more of the cracks now. Very nice! The die cracks in high grade silver look fantastic on Aussie coins IMO they add heaps of character.

yeah I reckon it does too & to add the the character of the 1st one it is rotated about 30 degrees.

MS60-62 first coin AU 55-58 second coin both look like soft strikes with die damage. Both nice coins and definitely keepers Looks like plenty of lustre left on both but the second coin is pretty marked up

I'd agree with that, MS62 & AU58 in my opinion.

Here's the coin I received. Looks fantastic in hand But Looks like crap scanned at 600dpi Quite disappointed in this one Has Full lustre, but does not pass scrutiny under real close inspection. AU58-MS60 ?

It's a shame to see beautiful lustrous coins knocked about like that, probably just poor storage/handling from previous owner/s.
