Can anyone give me the typical price range that one would see this coin selling for? I thought I knew most of the $1-10 Aussie NCLTs but I can't remember ever seeing this coin before. I'll grab it up if the price turns out to be fair, but don't want to overpay.

Thanks, guys!

These are all interesting coins , from 1996-2008 these were issued all different designs and all trending upward.
This is not the norm for most nclt issues, most times they tend to drop to melt value after the initial fanfare has ended.
This series has retained its sale price and added to that value
In my opinion these are the quiet little achievers of the NCLT world and are well worth investing in

Hey I just got one of these, how uncanny.
From the description its a 1855-2005 Sydney mint subscription coin. It contains 2 oz of silver with a gold plated florin in the centre. paid $63 from ebay with postage included. Should receive it in a couple of days. Pretty much paid the melt value plus a couple of bucks so am very happy.

Hi Trout,

Are we talking about the same coin? (ie. the one in the picture above)the 2005 with the florin in the centre? I didn't know they came in 1 oz. You have me worried now, best I go and weigh it.

Also, if anyone is interested, ainslie bullion currently has a special on 0.5 oz silver dragons. $360 for 20 of them, seems rasonable so I got a few, paid $340 for one lot and $360 for another lot of 20.

unfortunately, I was outbid on the coin. Just for information purposes, it went for $71, exactly $1 more than I bid :(
