Who knew it was so hard to ship from Texas? Quote: The item will be shipped to you via Registered Air Mail. Normally, the package needs 10-25 days to arrive at the destination. Sometimes it will be postponed a period of time, because of holidays or bad weather. You can also choose the Expedited Mail Service if you want to enjoy better and quicker shipping service. It needs USD 25.00 but it will only take 4 to 7 days to arrive.

Quote: Just ate the Big Mac for lunch In Texas we have the Texas homestyle burger from mcd's. He also probably drives a cadillac with long horns for a hood ornament. And his boots and half his pants are covered with oil because it just flows from the ground here like water. He seems like a full fledge lone star state resident, who wouldn't pull the trigger on this deal.

People that pull scams like this ruin the bay for everyone. They need to create better ways to weed these people out. I can't believe people actually fall for stuff like this.
I use the bay all the time, over 300 transactions, and I only ran into my first problem last week. I bought a 1964 proof Kennedy for my Dansco, and the guy never shipped it, nor did he reply to any of my messages. It took my over a month to get back my $18.00 (with shipping). Since the buyer has to wait 25 days (the expected delivery date), that means it will take over two months for these buyers to get their money back, once they realize they were dooped.

This is true, too bad there was a two coin limit. He probably could have sold each coin for $100 + and still sold out. If you are going to scam people out of their money, you might as well scam them for as much as possible.

Why doesn't somebody here type up a form letter that we can all copy and paste and send to the FBI? Don't they have an internet fraud division? Maybe if they got a few hundred complaints every time this scumbag lists something, which seems to be daily ... they might start paying attention. It may even get more attention if we were to acuse ebay of being a co-conspirator by allowing this kind of activity, and CC'd a copy to ebay. Chance

So will the seller actually reap these ill gotten gains, as in pocket the money? I'm wondering because I've read here about paypal holds on funds in certain cases. I'm not an ebay seller, so I don't know that side of things.

I suspect that PayPal has changed its rules since this guy first started running his scam, and perhaps he doesn't realize that he doesn't get the money until the buyer indicates that the item was received and that there are no problems.
Either that, or the scam is that he is sending fake coins instead of no coins and is banking on many of the buyers not being able to tell that they are fake.
